Deputy Director and Acting Chief Counsel
Kansas Lottery
Craig began his time with the Lottery five years ago as the Assistant Attorney General assigned to the Kansas Lottery. He was responsible for all litigation, rule creation, statutory interpretation, contract creation and other general legal work for the whole agency. Two years ago, he was promoted to Deputy Executive Director, and he became additionally responsible in part for some employee management, as well as special project oversight and control.
He has been acting as a recent “project manager” for one of the Lottery’s upcoming new ventures and is doing an excellent job in keeping all parties, vendors and internal staff on the same path.
Craig has proven himself to be an exceptional employee, taking on staffing issues, employee management and any other duties he has been assigned. He is an exceptional employee that has helped create a better working environment than when he arrived. His quiet but enthusiastic demeanor, intelligence, cool head, and professionalism make him a worthy recipient of this much deserved award.
