Concord, N.H. (August 20, 2024) – The New Hampshire Lottery broke its all-time sales record in Fiscal Year 2024, surpassing $631 million in total sales, marking a nearly 5% or $29 million year-over-year increase, according to unaudited figures. The New Hampshire Lottery also generated an all-time high of $200.7 million in revenue supporting New Hampshire public education, reflecting a nearly 7% or $13 million year-over-year increase. Since its inception in 1964, the New Hampshire Lottery has contributed more than $2.85 billion to public education, supporting students, teachers and schools across the state.

The New Hampshire Lottery, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in March, is one of the fastest-growing lotteries in the country. Over the past five years, it has seen a nearly 62.1% rise in sales, resulting in a total increase of $240 million.

Nearly all New Hampshire Lottery games surpassed last year’s sales pace. Tri-State Megabucks sales saw a nearly 100% increase, driven by April’s record-breaking $13.9 million jackpot, while Powerball sales grew by more than 20% following October’s $1.765 billion jackpot. Additionally, New Hampshire Lottery’s e-instant game sales increased by more than 25%, Lucky for Life sales grew by nearly 15% and KENO 603 sales rose by 5%.
With DraftKings serving as the exclusive provider for sports betting in New Hampshire, sports betting has continued to gain momentum as betting opportunities have expanded. Total sports wagering in Fiscal Year 2024 surpassed $753 million, with players wagering more than $661.4 million through the DraftKings online sportsbook and nearly $91.6 million at New Hampshire’s retail sportsbooks. Since its launch in December 2019, sports betting has generated $114.8 million in revenue in support of New Hampshire education.
In addition to the funding generated directly from Lottery games during Fiscal Year 2024, the New Hampshire Lottery and New Hampshire’s 12 charitable gaming establishments generated an additional $36.7 million in revenue in support of local charities, and $29.2 million for New Hampshire’s public schools.
