Hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, Wheel of Fortune premiered its 42nd season on September 9 and ranked as syndication’s #1 show during its premiere week. Second-chance grand prize winners from multistate lotteries had an opportunity to experience the show and win additional prizes during Wheel of Fortune’s Mega Money Maker event on Friday, September 27.

“We were excited to be back on set to host our grand prize winners of IGT’s multistate Mega Money Maker second chance promotion in Los Angeles while season 42 was being filmed,” said Amy Morin, IGT Senior Director Marketing. “And, at the Mega Money Maker event just for this group of multistate lottery winners, participants were able to spin the Wheel of Fortune’s iconic Wheel to win big cash prizes. Throughout a multi-round, non-broadcast gameshow format, some participants could also interact with the brand new Puzzleboard used on the show this season, just as Vanna does.”

The deluxe VIP trip experience designed by IGT for the promotion’s multistate winners and their guests featured: airfare, ground transportation, luxury hotel accommodations, a tour of Hollywood, a tour of Sony studios and spending money to use in L.A. all managed end-to-end with IGT’s signature White Glove Service.

The trip culminated in IGT’s exclusive Mega Money Maker event on September 27, where each multistate winner had the chance to win cash, with three winners having the chance to win $1 million another first for this second chance promotion.

Participants advanced toward the final prize over the course of four rounds: Every multistate winner participated in Round 1 and got to spin Wheel of Fortune’s iconic Wheel for the chance to win cash prizes ranging from $2,000 to $20,000.  In Round 2, the “Bonus Wheel Round,” participants were awarded multipliers for Round 1 and competed for the chance to advance to the Puzzleboard Round. During Round 3 – the Puzzleboard Round – participants interacted with the Wheel of Fortune Puzzleboard for additional cash prizes, including the top prize of $1,000,000.

Two lucky winners from the Ohio Lottery and one lucky winner from the Hoosier Lottery were the three top finalists, each taking home amazing cash prizes. Each and every participant went home with additional cash prizes – with several hundreds of thousands of dollars awarded throughout the Mega Money Maker event.

The Mega Money Maker second chance promotion is the latest in IGT’s long association with the Wheel of Fortune brand. In 1996, IGT introduced the first Wheel of Fortune slots game and went on to evolve content in the lottery space with instant games, iLottery games, and Fast Play games over the years. A true omnichannel star, Wheel of Fortune has become a tremendous success in lottery with worldwide brand affinity, dazzling ticket art, engaging second chance promotions, and immersive player experiences.
